Captain Wes Bodden was born and raised on the Texas Gulf Coast. Following a 27 year law enforcement career in West Texas, he returned to the coast, and is now a full time resident of Port O'Connor. He has been fishing this area exclusively since 2014. Captain Wes is a U.S. Coast Guard certified Captain, and a TPWD licensed Guide.

Captain Wes Bodden, a full-time TexasPort O'Connor fishing guide, was born and raised on the Texas Gulf Coast, where his love for fishing and the outdoors began at an early age. After a distinguished 27-year career in law enforcement in West Texas, Captain Wes returned to the waters he grew up on and made Port O'Connor his full-time home.
Since 2014, he has been exclusively fishing the Port O'Connor area, building extensive local knowledge of the middle coast, flats, fishing conditions and fishing patterns, making POC a prime destination for anglers planning guided fishing adventures. Today, he shares that expertise as a professional guide, offering tailored experiences for everyone from first-timers to seasoned sportsmen. Making each trip a memorable fishing experience.

Half-Day Inshore Charter (3–4 Hours) Perfect for families, first-time anglers, or those with limited time. We'll target redfish, speckled trout, black drum, and flounder depending on the season and conditions . Rates start at $650 for up to 2 anglers; $75 for each additional guest (max 5). Full-Day of fishing Inshore Fishing Trip (7–8 Hours) Get the most out of your day by exploring multiple fishing spots, including back lakes, marshes, and jetties. Best for serious anglers who want a full range of fishing action. Rates start at $950 for up to 2 anglers; $75 per additional guest up to 5.

Our Boat: Captain Wes runs a 24' Mowdy Cat shallow-running center console powered by a reliable Yamaha outboard. With ample space, shaded seating, and state-of-the-art electronics, the boat is designed to navigate both shallow flats and deeper bay waters comfortably and safely.
